Terms of Sale

1. Intended use

All products sold by Hygieia are supplied exclusively to qualified research institutions, laboratories, and scientific professionals for in-vitro laboratory and analytical research only. Products are not sold for, and may not be used for, human or veterinary administration, consumption, medical therapy, clinical, or diagnostic purposes.

2. Not approved products

Products are not drugs, foods, cosmetics, or dietary supplements. They have not been approved or evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any other regulatory authority for safety or efficacy in humans or animals.

3. Buyer affirmation

By placing an order, the buyer affirms and warrants that:

• the buyer is at least 21 years of age;
• the buyer is a qualified researcher or acting on behalf of a research institution;
• all products will be used solely for legitimate in-vitro research and not for human or animal consumption or administration;
• the buyer will handle, store, and dispose of all products in accordance with applicable laws and good laboratory practice; and
• the buyer will not resell or transfer products for human or animal use.

4. Assumption of responsibility

The buyer assumes full and sole responsibility for the safe handling and lawful use of all products purchased, and for compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations. Hygieia accepts no liability for any misuse of its products.

5. No warranty / no medical advice

Products are provided “as is” for research use without warranty of any kind. Nothing on this site constitutes medical, health, or professional advice. No statement on this site has been evaluated by the FDA.

6. Indemnification

The buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Hygieia from any claims arising from the buyer’s use, misuse, or distribution of any product, including any use in or on the human or animal body.
